EyeROV Secures INR 10 Crore for Global Expansion and Marine Robotics
Kochi-based marine robotics startup, EyeROV, has secured INR 10 Crore (approximately $1.2 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures. This latest investment brings the total funding secured by the company to over INR 9.43 Crore, with a previous tranche of $788K secured from GAIL and other investors.
The fresh funds raised will be utilised to strengthen EyeROV’s presence in international markets and to develop cutting-edge marine robotics products and solutions. Founded in 2016 by Johns T Mathai and Kannappa Palaniappan P, the deep-tech company specialises in marine robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions aimed at empowering industries such as energy, maritime, defence, and infrastructure.
EyeROV has already made significant strides in the commercial underwater drone/remote operated vehicle (ROV) market, launching an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) that provides solutions in both India and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The company collaborates with defence R&D labs and forces under the Innovations for Defence Excellence (IDEX) initiative to develop maritime intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions.
Thanks to its innovative offerings, EyeROV has established itself as a prominent player in the market, serving clients such as Tata, Adani, BPCL, DRDO, and the Indian Coast Guard. The company has completed over 100 underwater inspections and aims to triple its revenue by the end of the financial year by expanding sales in both domestic and international markets.
With this latest funding, EyeROV is well-positioned to take its marine robotics and AI solutions to the next level, solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.
