Ranjan brings over 15 years of experience in public policy and regulatory roles, having previously held leadership positions at Dream11, WhatsApp, JUUL Labs, and Uber. At Uber, he served as Head of Policy for North India and Federal Affairs, focusing on government relations and regulatory strategy.
Zepto, founded in July 2021, operates a quick commerce platform delivering over 25,000 products across various categories within 10 minutes through its network of dark stores. The company has raised significant funding, including a $340 million round in August 2024, bringing its total funding to $1.85 billion.
In recent developments, Zepto completed a reverse merger to relocate its headquarters from Singapore to India, a move aimed at facilitating its planned initial public offering (IPO). Additionally, the company launched ‘Zepto Atom,’ a subscription-based consumer analytics service, marking its entry into the data analytics space. Zepto is also reportedly finalizing a ₹1,500 crore structured debt deal to buy back shares from foreign investors, increasing Indian ownership ahead of its planned IPO.
