Company History
1936
- Andhra Cement was incorporated on 9th December under the Indian Companies Act, 1913.
1940
- The first unit with a capacity of 100 tonnes per day was commissioned at Vijayawada.
1951
- The capacity was extended for the first time.
1958
- The capacity was extended for the second time.
1970
- The total capacity of the factory reached 2.4 lakh tonnes of cement per annum.
- The capacity was extended for the third time.
1989
- The company came under the provisions of the Sick Industrial Companies Act, 1985 due to a sharp decline in Clinker and Cement production.
1990
- The company's production increased significantly by 72% despite a shortage of fuel, power cuts, and severe paucity of funds.
2004
- Andhra Cement was delisted from The Delhi Stock Exchange Association Ltd with effect from December 11, 2004.
2006
- ICICI finalized a Rs 50-cr equity pact with Andhra Cement.
- Andhra Cement Ltd appointed Shri Amitava Mondal as a Non-executive/Independent Director.
2008
- Andhra Cements Ltd re-appointed Mr. K N Bhandari as an Independent Director w.e.f. August 21, 2007.
2010
- Andhra Cements Ltd's shares were listed in the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd w.e.f. November 08, 2010
2011
- Andhra Cements entered into a Share Subscription and Share Purchase Agreement to acquire 48,119,550 Equity Shares from the promoter and promoter group.
2012
- Andhra Cements appointed Shri B. K. Taparia as an Independent Director and Shri V. K. Jain as a Director.
2013
- Andhra Cement recommended a dividend of Rs. 6 per share.

- Andhra Cements started production of cement at AP plant.
