Company History
1919
- Indian branch of Castrol commenced activities through regional offices in Mumbai, Calcutta, Delhi, and Chennai.
1944
- Name changed to Castrol Ltd.
1966
- Castrol became part of the Burmah Group.
1981
- Amalgamated Indian marketing and business of Castrol with Indrol Lubricants & Specialities Ltd.
- Castrol agreed to hold 40% equity capital.
- Allotted 6,00,000 equity shares to Castrol.
- Retained Rs 95.27 lakh as interest-free loan from Castrol.
- Came under MRTP Act due to Burmah Castrol Plc acquisition.

- Offered 6,10,520 14% secured redeemable convertible debentures on rights basis.
