- The company's name was changed from TI cycle of India Ltd to Tube Investments of India Ltd with effect from September 16, 1959.
1984
- TI Mills Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tube Investment of India Ltd, merged with TIL with effect from January 1, 1984.
1991
- Press Metals Corporation was amalgamated with the company with effect from March 31, 1991.
- Sathavahana Chains Ltd was amalgamated with the company with effect from April 1991.
2000
- Arunachalam Vellayn, managing director of Tube Investments of India Ltd, was elected president of ICC India for 2000-2001.
2001
- Alagappan was appointed a Wholetime Director with the designation as Executive Vice-Chairman for a period of 5 years from February 1.
- Tube Investments of India Ltd was given the 'Corporate Citizen Award' by the Rotary Club of Ambattur, Chennai.
2002
- Mr K Ganesan ceased to be Director.
- Mr S Gurumurthy was appointed as an Additional Director of the Company effective May 24, 2002.

- TII invested Rs 55.55 cr in Cholamandalam MS General Insurance.

- Tube Investments bought 77% stake in Sedis of France.
- Tube Investments acquired 1,75,82,000 equity shares of Cholamandalam DBS Finance Ltd from DBS Bank Ltd, Singapore.
2011
- Tube Investments recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1.50 per equity share of Rs. 2 each.
- Tube Investments was awarded Growth with Quality for their excellence in Technology & Innovation.
2012
- Tube Investments acquired 2,12,46,122 equity shares of Re. 1/- each of Shanthi Gears Limited, Coimbatore.
2013
- Tube Investments entered into an agreement with M/s. Tsubamex Company Ltd to form a Joint Venture Company in India.
2014
- Tube Investments recommended a final dividend of 50 paise per equity share of Rs. 2/- each.

- TI Cycles of India acquired the Brand Licensing Rights for Ridley.

- The company name was changed to Cholamandalam Financial Holdings Ltd. from TI Financial Holdings Ltd.
