HDFC Asset Management Company has been incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 on December 10, 1999 and was approved to act as the Asset Management Company for HDFC Mutual Fund by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) vide its letter dated July 3, 2000. HDFC Trustee Company Limited (‘the Trustee’) has appointed the Company to act as the investment manager of HDFC Mutual Fund. The Company is also registered under the SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 1993 and provides Portfolio Management Services. Further, the Company acts as an Investment Manager to HDFC AMC AIF-II and HDFC AMC Structured Credit AIF–I, trusts registered with SEBI as a Category II Alternative Investment Fund under the SEBI (Alternative Investment Funds) Regulations, 2012.
