National Fertilizers Reports Loss in Q2 FY26 Despite Subsidy Income Boost

National Fertilizers Limited reported a standalone net loss of Rs 10.21 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to a loss of Rs 40.84 crore in the previous quarter. The company recognized subsidy income of Rs 901.40 crore for the quarter and Rs 926.89 crore for the half-year on DAP & TSP fertilizers based on operational guidelines from the Department of Fertilizers for Kharif 2025. For the half-year period, the standalone net loss was Rs 42.34 crore versus Rs 61.97 crore loss in the same period last year. The consolidated results showed a net loss of Rs 5.80 crore for the quarter and Rs 75.25 crore for the half-year. The company's Board approved a final dividend of Rs 1.56 per share for FY 2024-25, which was paid in October 2025. National Fertilizers also entered into a joint venture agreement for Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Limited with an 18% equity holding.

National Fertilizers Reports Narrower Q2 Loss Despite Lower Margins

National Fertilizers reported a net loss of 102 million rupees in Q2, an improvement from the 106 million rupee loss in the same period last year. Revenue surged to 67.6 billion rupees compared to 43.9 billion rupees year-over-year. EBITDA increased to 1.28 billion rupees from 1.2 billion rupees, though EBITDA margin declined to 1.90% from 2.76% in the previous year.
