1913
- The Companies Act, 1913 was enacted.
1955
- The Company was incorporated as S.H. Kelkar & Co. Limited.
- The Company took over the businesses carried on by Mr. V.G. Vaze as a sole proprietor of M/s S.H. Kelkar & Co and in partnership by the firm M/s Saraswati Chemical Works.
1956
- The Companies Act, 1956 was enacted.
1979
- Establishment of the manufacturing unit at Vapi.
1984
- Establishment of the export oriented unit as Keva Fragrances Private Limited, the wholly-owned Subsidiary.
2001
- The word private was added to the name of the Company under section 43A of the Companies Act, 1956.
2007
- Commissioning of the manufacturing unit at Vashivali.
2009
- The three sons and their respective families executed a memorandum recording a family settlement.
- The Company Law Board passed orders dated March 10, 2009 and November 2, 2009.
2010
- Investment by Wayzata II Indian Ocean Limited, a private equity firm.
2011
- Acquisition of PFW Aroma Ingredients B.V., the Subsidiary in Netherlands.
- Approval of the merger of Tridhaatu Estates Private Limited and Amerigo Holdings and Investment Private Limited with the Company.
2012
- Investment by Blackstone Capital Partners and Blackstone Family Investment Partnership.
2013
- Investment in setting up a Multi-Purpose Plant at Vapi to manufacture fragrance ingredients.
2014
- Incorporation of PT SHKKeva Indonesia, as a step down subsidiary.
- Received the Best Performance in Quality award at Marico Samyut, 2014.
- Received the Learning and Development - Diversity Award at the National Learning and Development League Conference in 2014.
2015
- Received the award for Best HR Strategy In Line with business at the Global HR Excellence Awards.
- Received the award for Dream Companies to Work For (Manufacturing) at the Dream Companies to Work For Awards.
- Received the certification of registration of quality management system by NQA against the provisions of BS EN ISO 9001:2008.
- The name of the Company was changed to S H Kelkar and Company Limited pursuant to conversion of the status of the Company to a public limited company.
2016
- S H Kelkar acquired 100 per cent stake in Rasiklal Hemani Agencies Pvt Ltd in a deal worth Rs 28.17 crore.
2017
- Acquisition of Fragrance Encapsulation Technology from Tanishka Fragrance Encapsulation Technologies LLP.
2018
- S H Kelkar and Company Limited acquired 51% of Creative Flavours and Fragrances S.p.A.
2023
- S H Kelkar acquired 100% stake in PFW Aroma Ingredients B.V from Keva UK.
