1972

  • 825 shares were forfeited and reissued to employees.

1981

  • Right Equity shares were issued at par.

1986

  • The Company received a letter of intent for the manufacture of dry batteries.

1987

  • The Company proposed to introduce UM3 type and UM1 type batteries.
  • Bonus equity shares were issued.

1989

  • The Company introduced UM 3D batteries.
  • The Company offered equity shares on a Rights basis.
  • Equity shares were issued to employees and collaborators.

1990

  • The unsubscribed portion of equity shares were allotted to employees.
  • Additional equity shares were allotted to collaborators Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd.

1991

  • The Company proposed to expand the existing production capacity.

1994

  • The Company introduced superior quality NOVINO SUMO-UM-IS batteries and PANASONIC Alkaline batteries.
  • The Company introduced the Novino Sumo-UM-2S Penlite type of dry cell battery.
  • The Company offered equity shares in the Rights basis.

1995

  • The Company started implementation of the gas lighter project.

1996

  • The Company introduced the New Novino UM-IPN type of dry cell battery.

2005

  • The Company recommended a dividend of 30% for the year.

2006

  • The Company changed its name to Panasonic Battery India Co. Ltd.
  • The Company recommended a dividend of 15% for the year.

2007

  • The Company recommended a dividend of Rs 1.50 per share.

2008

  • The Company recommended a dividend of 30% for the year.
  • The company changed its name to Panasonic Energy India Company Ltd.
