Bharti Enterprises Explores UK Expansion in Hospitality and Defence Technology

Bharti Enterprises Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal announced the company is actively seeking new investment opportunities in the UK across multiple sectors. The company already holds a $4 billion stake in BT Group and has invested over $1 billion in the Ennismore hospitality chain. Mittal revealed ongoing discussions with UK CEOs about transferring advanced defence technologies including hypersonic missiles, drones, and UAVs to India. The expansion plans are supported by the India-UK Free Trade Agreement, which aims to double bilateral trade to $120 billion within five years. Bharti's growth strategy spans telecommunications, hospitality, real estate, and defence partnerships. Mittal plans to meet with British enterprise leaders to showcase opportunities for UK companies in India's public procurement sector under the new trade framework.
