Company History

1985

  • The company was originally incorporated as a public limited company under the name of Appollo Mercantiles Limited.
  • The Company received the Certificate for Commencement of Business on December 10, 1985.

1991

  • The Company acquired the dealership of OTC Exchange of India wef December 18, 1991.

1992

  • The name of the Company was changed to Apollo Finvest (India) Limited and a fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued.
  • The Company started investments and trading in shares in the secondary market in its own portfolio.
  • The Company acquired the dealership of OTC Exchange of India and operations in this line started.

1993

  • The Company got itself registered with SEBI as Category I Merchant Banker.
  • The main object of the Company was amended to commence business as mentioned in Object Clause 1 A.
  • The Company started operations for retail and corporate lending, Merchant Banking and Money Market related activities.

1994

  • The Company done leasing business of Rs.221 lacs till July 31, 1994.
  • A sum of Rs. 500 lacs was earmarked for the purpose of creating leased assets during the current year.
  • The Company gave underwriting commitments for 83 issues amounting to Rs. 925 lacs upto July 31, 1994.
  • The Company registered an income of Rs 47.27 lacs from Bills Discounting and Money Market Operations during the year 1993-94.
  • The Company had a total portfolio of Rs. 360.35 lacs at market value as on July 31, 1994.
  • A Special Resolution was passed at the Annual General Meeting of the Company authorising the Company to carry on certain businesses.

2009

  • Apollo Finvest India Ltd appointed Shri. Sandeep Maheshwari as an Additional Director.

2011

  • Shri. Sajjan Kanodia and Smt. Hemlata Poddar were appointed as additional directors of the Company.
