Company History
1987
- M/s Brahmaputra Consortium, a proprietorship firm was founded by Mr. Suresh Kumar Prithani.
1991
- The firm was converted into a partnership firm on April 1, 1991.
1998
- The firm was converted into a Public Limited Company bearing the name M/s Brahamputra Consortium Limited under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956.
- The Company obtained Certificate for Commencement of Business on September 25, 1998.
2000
- The Company executed the Noida - Greater Noida Expressway project using fly ash technology for the first time in India, worth Rs.145 Million.
2003
- The Registered Office of the company has been Changed from C-5/61, Grand Vasant, Vasant Kunj, New delhi-110070 to its present address Brahmaputra House, A-7, Main Mahipalpur, New Delhi-110037
- The Company bagged the order for BG Tunnels of N F Railway in JV worth Rs.1008.50 Million.
- The Company received the ISO 9001: 2000 certification.
2004
- The Company made a breakthrough with NHAI by bagging an order in JV worth Rs.1824.80 Million for widening and strengthening NH 31 from 2 lane to 4 lane under East - West Corridor.
- Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of BCL got the Order for Construction of the prestigious New State Secretariat Complex at Dispur, Assam worth Rs.853 Million.
2005
- The Company executed a part of the Hydro Electric Power Project at Subansiri as a Sub contractor with approval from NHPC.
- The Company was successful in securing an Order from North-Eastern Coalfields, Coal India Limited for mining of Coal of worth Rs. 568.10 Million.
- The Company is developing a Private Industrial Park as per International Standard on 586.67 Bighas [122.50 acre (approx.)] acquired by it near NH31, Guwahati.
2006
- The Company successfully bagged a contract of Railway tunnel in J & K from IRCON in JV with a Russian Company - BTS of worth Rs.1572 Million.
- The Company made a foray in the Airport Sector by bagging Guwahati Airport Project from Airport Authority of India of worth Rs.466 Million.
- The Company launched its first High-end Luxurious Condominium - SPANISH GARDEN at Guwahati, designed by renowned Architect Mr. Hafeez Contractor.
- The Company took steps to connect its remote project sites, Branch Offices with Head Office through VSAT link to improve and make the communication real time and effective.
2007
- The Company got the Mega Housing Projects (HIG/MIG/LIG Houses) from DDA, New Delhi consisting of total 6 Blocks of worth Rs. 156 Crores.
- The Company bagged the project of Construction of New Integrated Passenger Terminal Building at Lucknow Airport from Airports Authority of India of worth Rs. 80,96,76,592.
2008
- Amalgamation of Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited (transferor Company) with Brahmaputra Consortium Limited (Transferee Company) has been approved by the Hon'ble Delhi High Court Dated March 11, 2008.
- The name of the Company was changed to its present name 'Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited'.
- Unity- Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd; a Joint venture of Unity Infraprojects Limited and Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited bagged project of Construction of Jorhat Medical College and Hospital at Jorhat (Assam) from National Rural Health Mission of worth Rs. 1,31,29,95,136.
- The Company bagged the project of Construction of combined approach embankment with earthwork in filling from Ch. 27.900 KM to 29.00 KM to form embankment and formation of service road including river protection works viz. boulder pitching on slope and boulder sausage crates, RCC Box culvert, V notch drains, catch drains, grouting of boulder pitching, river channel closing / diversion and ancillary works etc. on North Bank of river Brahmaputra in connection with construction of Bogibeel Bridge across river Brahmaputra near Dibrugarh from Northeast Frontier Railway, Silapathar of worth Rs. 83,98,97,757.
2009
- The Company bagged the project of Construction of North Guide Bund in river Brahmaputra with proper protection work to guide bund, diversion of river channel to facilitate earth work in guide bund and common approach embankment and other ancillary work in connection with construction of Bogibeel Bridge Project across river Brahmaputra near Dibrugarh from Northeast Frontier Railway, Silapathar of worth Rs. 1,11,30,98,917.
2010
- KMC-Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited; a Joint Venture of KMC Constructions Limited with Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited bagged a Project of Construction of 2 Lane Gangtok Bye Pass Road from Ranipool to Burtuk via Ranka in East Sikkim of worth Rs. 90,86,00,000.
2011
- The Company got the Project of Hiring of HEMM for production of Carbonaceous Shale (CS) & removal of Hard Shale (HS) at NEC during the period of 3 years w.e.f. 15.09.2011 against Ledo OCP from North Eastern Coalfields, Coal India Ltd. of Rs. 32,74,67,000.
2012
- The Company bagged the project of Reconstruction, Remodelling & Improvement of embankment in Sundarbans and adjoining areas in the districts of North & South 24-Parganas, West Bengal damaged by severe cyclone 'Aila' from Irrigation & Waterways Department, Govt. of West Bengal of worth Rs. 1,76,86,66,100.
- The Company bagged the project of Reconstruction, Remodelling & Improvement of embankment in Sundarbans and adjoining areas in the districts of North & South 24-Parganas, West Bengal damaged by severe cyclone 'Aila' from Ramky Infrastructure Limited, Kolkata of worth Rs. 1,52,68,79,605.
- The Company bagged the project of Development & Operation of ChattiBariatu Coal Mining Block from NTPC Limited of worth Rs. 5338.42 Crores.
2013
- Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd-joint venture received orders worth Rs 5338.42 crore from NTPC Ltd.
2014
- Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd was awarded a project worth Rs. 18.63 Crores by Chief Engineer (IP), PB, PWD B&R Branch.
- Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd was awarded a project worth Rs. 34.67 Crores by Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA).
2016
- The Company received a contract worth Rs. 19.53 Crores from Chief Engineer, PWRD.
- The Company received an award of contract worth Rs. 42.93 Crores from Chief Engineer (NH).
