CHL Limited Reports Q2 Loss, Settles Property Tax Dispute Worth ₹106 Crores

CHL Limited announced its quarterly results for the period ended September 30, 2025. The company reported a standalone net loss of ₹444.27 lakhs for the quarter, compared to a profit of ₹504.01 lakhs in the previous quarter. For the half-year period, the company posted a profit of ₹563.91 lakhs. The company settled a disputed property tax matter by paying ₹1,062.16 lakhs pursuant to a Delhi High Court order dated September 12, 2025, under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's one-time amnesty scheme. This payment was charged to operational expenses as a non-recurring item. The company continues to deal with ongoing litigation involving EXIM Bank related to a USD 32.50 million loan taken by its subsidiary CJSC CHL International. A One Time Settlement of USD 34 million has been agreed upon and is under implementation. The cases are pending before the Supreme Court of India and Debt Recovery Tribunal. The company's subsidiary CHL International reported total assets of ₹23,577.42 lakhs and a net loss of ₹759.27 lakhs for the quarter.
