- A full fledged international banking division of the bank was inaugurated at Chennai.
- 5,00,000 rights equity shares were issued at par in proportion 1:1.
1993
- 30,00,000 rights equity shares were issued at par.
1995
- The Bank came out with a simultaneous unlinked issue of equity shares and unsecured zero interest FCDs.
1997
- 60,000,000 bonus shares were issued in proportion 1:2.
- 66,000,000 equity shares were issued on conversion of FCDs.

- The Bank opens branches at Purasawalkam, Anna Nagar.
2001
- The Bank opens a branch at Srirangam.
2002
- City Union Bank introduces various loan schemes like CUB Sulabh CUB Consumer loan, CUB Swayam Griha and CUB Vidhya Vaani.
- City Union Bank opens branches at Rajahmundry, Fort-Mumbai, Thrissur.
- Shri S Rajarathnam and Mr Venktatasubban were co-opted as the Director of the company.
- Mr Jayaraman was appointed as the Director on the Board of the company.

- City Union Bank ties up with National Insurance for bancassurance.
