1982
- CyberMedia was founded by Pradeep Gupta and his family members.
- Dataquest, the first computer magazine in India, was founded.
1987
- IDC (India) was founded in association with IDC USA.
- PCQuest, one of the leading PC user magazines in India, was launched.
1991
- Events were started to provide direct contact between users and vendors.
1994
- Voice & Data, a leading magazine in India for the telecom and data communications industry, was launched.
1995
- CyberMedia TV prepared TV programmes on IT.
1996
- Cyber India Online, www.ciol.com, the leading IT portal in India, was launched.
- The first IT newspaper in India, the DQ Week Chennai, was set up.
- An IT magazine for the family, Computers @ Home, was initiated.
1997
- CyberMedia Digital, a leading distributor and publisher of multimedia in India, was started.
1999
- DQ Channels India was launched to serve the distributors, resellers and IT dealers.
2001
- The School of Convergence, the first institute of converging media education in India, was established.
2003
- BioSpectrum, India's leading magazine in the biotechnology space, was launched.
- Computers @Home was repositioned as Living Digital.
- CyberMedia Services was launched for Content BPO Services.
- CyberMedia Research focused on the entertainment industry.
- SOC @ IMI was ranked as India's eighth-best niche school in the Outlook annual survey.
2004
- CyberMedia formed a joint venture with Dice Inc.
2005
- Cybermedia (India) Ltd entered the capital market with a public issue of 28.23 lakh equity shares.
- The Company tied up with SRI Consulting Business Intelligence for consumer research.
2006
- Cyber Media acquired 49% stake in Publication Services, Inc.
- CyberMedia expanded globally by acquiring a strategic stake in Computer Shopper.
- Living Digital became India's first magazine to go completely interactive.
2007
- CyberMedia launched DARE, a new magazine for entrepreneurs.
- LexisNexis and CyberMedia launched Halsbury's Law Monthly.
2008
- Cyber Media acquired the entire equity in UBM-CyberMedia LLC.
- The Company recommended an equity dividend of 5%.
2009
- The first Emtech India conference was hosted with MIT's Technology Review and CyberMedia.
- The India edition of Technology Review was launched.
2010
- Pradeep Gupta was appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company.
2011
- IDC (India) Limited was renamed to Cyber Media Research Limited.
2014
- Arun Kumar Dang was appointed as Director of the Company.
