Exxaro Tiles Denies False Claims in Social Media Video, Clarifies Solar Project Details

Exxaro Tiles Limited has denied false and misleading claims made in a YouTube video by channel Jasmeet Singhrao. The company categorically rejected claims about annual savings of ₹30 crore from solar energy, significant entry into UAE and Saudi Arabia markets, 1000% profit growth expectations, and appointment of Ajay Devgn as brand ambassador. The company clarified that it has a 5MW DC solar power project at Gorol, Idar, Gujarat, with expected annual savings of approximately ₹5.67 crore in electricity costs. The project aims to meet electricity requirements of their Talod manufacturing plant through captive consumption. Exxaro confirmed that Ajay Devgn was appointed as brand ambassador in May 2022. The company stated no other projects, expansions, or endorsements as claimed in the video are being undertaken. Exxaro is taking appropriate action against the unauthorized video and reporting it to the social media platform.
