1996

  • The Company commenced business in Tamil Nadu.

1998

  • The RBI granted a certificate of registration permitting the Company to carry on the business of a NBFC as a non-deposit taking company.

2001

  • The Company became a private limited company.
  • The Registrar of Companies, Tamil Nadu issued a fresh certificate of incorporation.
  • The Company's name was changed to Subhikshith Finance & Investments Private Limited.

2007

  • The RBI granted a fresh certificate of registration to carry on the business of a NBFC as a non-deposit taking company on change of name to Future Ventures India Private Limited.
  • Pantaloon Future Ventures Limited acquired 100% of the total issued, subscribed and paid-up share capital of Subhikshith.
  • The Company changed its name from Subhikshith Finance & Investments Private Limited to Future Ventures India Private Limited.
  • The Company was converted to a public limited company and the name of the Company was changed to Future Ventures India Limited.
  • The Company entered into agreements to purchase securities of Biba Apparels Private Limited, Sankalp Retail Value Stores Private Limited and SSIPL Retail Private Limited.

2008

  • The Company entered into agreements to purchase securities of Footmart Retail (India) Limited and other companies.
  • The Company entered into a consulting and advisory services agreement with Future Capital Holdings Limited.
  • The Company opted for conversion of fully convertible debentures into equity shares of Biba Apparels Private Limited.

2009

  • The Company entered into an agreement for purchase of securities of Star Shopping Centres Private Limited.
  • The registered office of the Company was shifted from the State of Tamil Nadu to the State of Maharashtra.
  • The Company made investments in the equity shares and preference shares of Lee Cooper (India) Limited.
  • Pantaloon Future Ventures Limited changed its name to Future Value Retail Limited.

2010

  • The Company transferred its entire shareholding in Celio Future Fashions Limited, Lee Cooper (India) Limited and Turtle Limited.
  • The Company transferred its entire shareholding in Star Shopping Centres Private Limited.
  • The Company made investments in the equity shares of Capital Foods Exportts Private Limited, Future Consumer Enterprises Limited and Future Consumer Products Limited.

2011

  • The Company subscribed to equity shares issued by Holii Accessories Private Limited and Aadhaar Retailing Limited.
  • The Company entered into a share subscription agreement with Idream Holdings Private Limited for subscribing to equity shares of Amar Chitra Katha Private Limited.
  • The Company transferred its entire shareholding in SSIPL Retail Private Limited to its subsidiary, Indus-League Clothing Limited.

2012

  • Future Ventures India Ltd acquired 100 per cent equity share capital of Star and Sitara Wellness Pvt Ltd.
  • The Company made further investment in Clarks Future Footwear Limited.
  • The Company made investments in Indus-League Clothing Limited and Holii Accessories Private Limited.

2013

  • The Company changed its name from Future Ventures India Limited to Future Consumer Enterprises Limited.
  • The Company acquired 100% shareholding in Future Agrovet Ltd.
  • Future Group launched Sunkist brand in India.
  • The name of Future Consumer Enterprises Limited, a subsidiary, was changed to Future Food and Products Limited.

2014

  • Future Group brought Sunkist Brand to India.
  • FCEL acquired Niligiris convenience stores chain.

2015

  • Future Consumer Enterprise Ltd acquired a business undertaking.
  • Patanjali Ayurved and Future Group joined hands.
  • Future Group partnered with Mibelle Group.

2016

  • The Company changed its name to Future Consumer Ltd.
  • Future Consumer launches Oats brand Kosh as India's third grain.
  • FCEL launched Desi Atta Company Atta & Instant Mix Range.
  • International Finance Corporation invested US$20 million in Future Consumer Enterprises Limited.

2017

  • Future Group launched a premium gourmet gifting brand – Gruezi.
  • Tasty Treat launched a new snacking munch – POP CORN.
  • Future Consumer Limited introduced POOOF.
  • Future Group taps start-ups to unlock consumer data.

2018

  • Future Consumer Limited acquired entire stake in Affluence Food Processors Private Limited.
  • Future Consumer entered into a 50:50 joint venture with NZ's dairy firm Fonterra.

2019

  • Future Consumer Limited entered into an arrangement with Middle East leading chain of retail supermarkets, T Choithrams & Sons.
  • FCL Tradevest Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, acquired 100% stake of Avante Snack Foods Private Limited.
