Gujarat Hotels Seeks Shareholder Approval for Rashmi Verma's Independent Director Appointment

Gujarat Hotels Limited has issued a postal ballot notice seeking shareholder approval for the appointment of Ms. Rashmi Verma as an Independent Director for a five-year term effective October 6, 2025. Verma, a 66-year-old retired Indian Administrative Service officer with over 36 years of experience, previously served as Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. She holds multiple qualifications including M.A., M.Phil in Political Science from Delhi University and MBA from University of Hull, U.K. The company's Board approved her appointment on October 6, 2025, based on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee's recommendation. Verma currently serves as Independent Director on boards of Uflex Limited, PTC India Limited, and HT Media Limited. The remote e-voting period runs from November 12, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. to December 11, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., with results to be declared on December 12, 2025. <p>Gujarat Hotels reported a <span class='negative'>21.74% decline</span> in <span class='neutral'>net profit</span> to <b>Rs 0.72 crore</b> for Q2 FY2025, despite a <span class='positive'>7.58% increase</span> in <span class='neutral'>sales</span> to <b>Rs 0.71 crore</b> compared to the same quarter last year.</p>
