Company History
1991
- The Company was incorporated as Investment Information and Credit Rating Agency of India Limited.
- The Company obtained its certificate of commencement of business.
- ICRA launched its credit rating service.
1993
- The registered office was shifted to 4th Floor, Kailash Building, 26 Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi 110 001.
1994
- The Company name was changed to ICRA Limited by a special resolution passed in the AGM.
1996
- ICRA entered into an agreement with Financial Proformas Inc., a Moody's Group company.
1999
- Moody's India invested in ICRA.
- Moody's Investors Service entered into the Technical Services Agreement.
2001
- ICRA entered into a technical services agreement with Credit Rating & Collection, Kuwait.
2003
- ICRA acquired minority stakes in and entered into technical services agreements with Online India Capital.Com, subsequently renamed ICRA Online Limited.
- ICRA entered into a technical collaboration agreement with Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh Limited.
2004
- ICRA launched its Outsourced Services Division.
2005
- ICRA entered into an MOU with National Small Industries Corporation Limited for launching NSIC-ICRA performance and credit rating scheme for small-scale enterprises in India.
- The scheme of demerger between ICRA and IMaCS was sanctioned by the High Court of Delhi.
2006
- The registered office was shifted to 1105, Kailash Building, 11th Floor, 26 Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi 110 001.
- ICRA acquired Computer Exchange Private Limited, subsequently renamed ICRA Techno Analytics Limited.
- ICRA acquired a majority stake in ICRA Online.
- The advisory division was demerged and transferred to IMaCS, a wholly-owned subsidiary.
2007
- Ms. Jennifer Elliott was appointed as Additional Director of the Company.
- ICRA Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Vijaya Bank to assign ratings to Small Scale Industries and Small and Medium Enterprises.
- ICRA Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Bank to assign ratings to the Bank's loans and exposures.
- ICRA Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dena Bank to assign ratings to the Bank's loans and exposures.
- The Company name was changed from Investment & Credit Rating Agency to ICRA Ltd.
2008
- ICRA Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with State Bank of Saurashtra to assign ratings to the Bank's loans and exposures.
- ICRA Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Central Bank of India to assign ratings to the Bank's loans and exposures.
- ICRA Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with State Bank of Hyderabad to assign ratings to the Bank's loans and exposures.
- Mr. Chetan Modi was appointed as Alternate Director for Mr. Frederic Walter Jacques Drevon.
2009
- ICRA set up a joint venture in Nepal to replicate some of its rating businesses.
2010
- ICRA Online sealed a strategic alliance with IDEAcarbon.
- ICRA announced plans to offer rating services in Indonesia.
2011
- PT ICRA Indonesia obtained central bank recognition.
- ICRA Ltd was granted a letter of intent by the Securities Board of Nepal to establish a Credit Rating Agency in Nepal.
- ICRA Lanka Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of ICRA Ltd, was granted registration to function as a Credit Rating Agency by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka.
2012
- ICRA Techno Analytics Limited picked up a majority stake in BPA Technologies, Inc., a California-based global business consulting and software technology services firm.
2013
- ICRA Ltd, IMaCS, and Cambridge Systematics, Inc. announced a strategic partnership.
2014
- ICRA recommended a dividend of Rs. 23 per Equity Share of the face value of Rs. 10 each.
