1998
- The company was incorporated.
1999
- IGL took over the Delhi City Gas Distribution Project from GAIL (India) Limited.
2004
- Indraprastha Gas unveiled its first online CNG station in Delhi.
2006

2007
- IGL commenced CNG Project activities in Greater Noida.
