KR Rail Engineering Reports Loss in Q2 2025 Due to Asset Sale

KR Rail Engineering Limited reported a standalone net loss of Rs 24.61 lakhs for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 57.83 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations declined to Rs 3,386.06 lakhs from Rs 8,796.97 lakhs year-on-year. The company attributed the quarterly loss to selling old equipment and unused assets upon project completion, resulting in losses on fixed assets. On a consolidated basis, the company posted a net loss of Rs 26.37 lakhs for the quarter. For the half-year period, standalone revenue was Rs 16,165.8 lakhs with a net profit of Rs 33.21 lakhs, while consolidated revenue reached Rs 30,340.04 lakhs with a net profit of Rs 30.46 lakhs. The board meeting was held on November 12, 2025, where these unaudited financial results were approved.

KR Rail Engineering: Two Promoter Group Entities Convert Preference Shares to Equity

Two promoter group companies of KR Rail Engineering Limited converted their 7% Optionally Convertible Redeemable Preference Shares into equity shares. Zara Investments Private Limited acquired 27,47,243 equity shares, increasing their holding from 4.08% to 9.36%.
