1977
- Llyods Metals & Engineers Limited was incorporated on 5th April as a Private Ltd. Company in the name of Nagarjuna Metals and Engineers Private Ltd.
1986
- The company was converted into a Public Ltd. Company on 9th September.
1987
- LMEL obtained the licence to manufacture 12,000 tpa of C.R. Strips.
1990
- The name of the company was changed to the present one on 5th January.
1991
- The company commissioned an additional 4-Hi cold rolling mill, increasing the installed capacity of the plant from 12,000 tpa to 46,000 tpa.
1993
- 900 No. of Equity shares were subscribed for by signatories to the Memorandum of Understanding.
- 50,05,000 shares were allotted to the promoters.
1994
- 50,05,900 bonus shares were issued in proportion 1:1.
1995
- The Company's coal based sponge iron plant at Ghugus was commissioned.
- The Company proposed to undertake an iron ore mining project and set up a captive power plant.
1996
- The sponge iron division undertook the second phase to double the sponge iron plant capacity.
1997
- Lloyds Metals was set up as part of the backward integration of Lloyds Steel into sponge iron.
- The company was awarded a mining lease of 450 hectares at Gadchiroli.
1998
- The Credit Analysis and Research Ltd downgraded Lloyds Metals & Engineering Ltd's three non-convertible debenture issues from A to BB.
1999
- Sponge Iron Division carried out an energy conservation survey.
- Sponge Iron Division successfully absorbed the technology obtained indigenously.
2007
- The Company split its face value from Rs10 to Rs2.
2008
- Mr. B B Chadha was appointed as Additional Independent Director.
- Smt. V M Bharathy was appointed as Nominee Director of IDBI Bank Ltd.
2009
- Shri. J S Charlu was appointed as Additional Director.
- The Registered Office of the Company was shifted from Plot No. A - 9 & 10, MIDC Phase II, Dombivli to Plot No. A 1-2, MIDC Area, Ghugus.
2011
- The Company has changed its name from Lloyds Metals & Engineers Ltd. to Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd.
2013
- The Board of Directors of the Company has appointed Shri Devidas K. Kambale as additional Independent Non-Executive Director.
2014
- The Board of Directors of the Company has approved the appointment of Shri J. P. Dange as Non-Executive Independent Director.
2018
- The Company has entered into a MOU with Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation for acquisition of land.
