The resolution passed with 99.97% votes in favor, with 106 members voting for and 4 members voting against the proposal.

Ponni Sugars Reports 17% Rise in Net Profit to ₹1,456 Lakhs in Q2

Ponni Sugars (Erode) Limited reported a net profit after tax of ₹1,456 lakhs for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to ₹1,234 lakhs in the same quarter of the previous year. Total income from operations increased to ₹11,471 lakhs from ₹9,810 lakhs year-on-year. For the six-month period, net profit reached ₹1,928 lakhs versus ₹1,828 lakhs in the corresponding period last year, while total income rose to ₹17,843 lakhs from ₹15,849 lakhs. Basic earnings per share improved to ₹16.93 from ₹13.41 in the same quarter last year. However, total comprehensive income showed a loss of ₹3,122 lakhs for the quarter compared to a profit of ₹856 lakhs in the previous year's quarter.
