Company History

1986

  • The company was incorporated as private limited on 17th April in the name of Jindal Irrigation Pvt. Limited.
  • The company became deemed public limited on 18th June under Section 43A of the Companies Act, 1956.

1987

  • The company started full-fledged manufacturing operations producing Aluminium Irrigation System and registered a turnover of Rs.585 lacs.
  • The company declared a maiden dividend of 8%.

1988

  • The company registered a turnover of Rs.597 lacs and a net profit of Rs.20 lacs for the year ended on 30th June.
  • The company declared a dividend of 8% for the year ended on 30th June.

1989

  • The company registered a turnover of Rs.622 lacs and a net profit of Rs.29.76 lacs for the year ended on 31st March.
  • The company declared a dividend of 8% for the year ended on 31st March.

1992

  • The company was under the management of Shri S.R. Jindal till the financial year 1992-93.

1993

  • The management of the company was taken over by the Rungta Group headed by Shri R.S. Rungta in August.
  • The company changed the method of providing depreciation on fixed assets from written down value method to straight line method at the rates and manner provided under schedule XIV to the Companies Act, 1956 on the assets acquired on or after 1st April.

1994

  • The company changed its name to Rungta Irrigation Limited with effect from 4th April.
  • The Second Unit at Kala Amb, Dist. Sirmour in the State of Himachal Pradesh commenced its production in November.
  • Shareholders passed a Special Resolution in Extra Ordinary General Meeting held on 09.05.94 for deleting the restriction clause under Section 3(1)(iii) of the Companies Act, 1956.

2008

  • Rungta Irrigation Ltd appointed Ms. Priya Rungta as Additional Director of the Company.

2022

  • The company issued rights shares of Rs. 10 in the ratio of 1.25:1 at a premium of Rs. 1 per share.
