Company History

1977

  • The Company was incorporated as Sharp Investments Limited (SIL) on 28th November under the Companies Act, 1956 in the State of West Bengal.
  • The Company is registered under companies Act, 1956 with registration no. 031241.

1978

  • The Company obtained certificate of Commencement of Business pursuant to Section 149(3) of the Companies Act, 1956 from the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal vide certificate dated 4th January.
  • The Company came out with its initial public offering and obtained listing on CSE.

1999

  • A scheme of Amalgamation (Amalgamation Scheme-I) was proposed for merger of RGF Builders & Investment Pvt. Ltd. (RGFBIPL) and RGF Overseas Pvt. Ltd (RGFOPL) with the Company and was approved by the High Court of Calcutta.

2005

  • The Company obtained registration with RBI as a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) vide certificate no. B-05.06565 dated 11th July.
  • A scheme of Amalgamation (Amalgamation Scheme-II) was proposed for merger of Mayurakshi Trading Pvt. Ltd. (MTPL) with the Company and was approved by the High Court of Calcutta.
