Sovereign Diamonds Reports Net Loss of ₹10.30 Lakhs in Q2 FY2026

Sovereign Diamonds Limited, a manufacturer of 18K fine jewellery, reported a net loss of ₹485.28 lakhs for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, compared to a net loss of ₹6.45 lakhs in the same quarter last year. The company's total income increased to ₹817.81 lakhs from ₹568.20 lakhs year-over-year, driven by net sales rising to ₹780.44 lakhs from ₹533.98 lakhs. However, total expenses surged to ₹1,303.34 lakhs from ₹570.96 lakhs, primarily due to cost of materials consumed jumping to ₹1,119.66 lakhs from ₹398.13 lakhs. Basic and diluted earnings per share stood at ₹(8.38) compared to ₹(0.11) in the previous year quarter. The company operates in a single segment of gold and diamond studded jewellery. The board meeting was held on August 12, 2025, and the results were reviewed by the audit committee.
