1979
- Mr. N. Balusamy Chettiar handed over all the business of proprietary concern to his sons.
2000
- The Company was originally incorporated on March 24 as a private limited company.
2001
- Purchase of Gold Assaying Machine to ensure quality of gold ornament through laser technology in May.
- Opening of exclusive Showroom for Diamond and other precious stones at Madurai in June.
- Obtained BIS hallmarking license - pioneers in the field in August.
2003
- With the help of World gold council, initiated the concept of 'Akshya Thritiyai' and helped in a breakthrough in gold jewellery market in May.
2006
- Registration of 'Thangamayil' as a trademark in January.
2007
- The name of the Company was changed to Thangamayil Jewellery Limited upon conversion into public limited company.
2008
- Opened showroom at Rajapalayam in April.
- Opened showroom at Karaikudi in September.
2009
