Trans Freight Containers Receives Rs 8.43 Crore GST Demand Notice

Trans Freight Containers Limited received a show cause notice from the GST department demanding Rs 84,32,184 related to transfer of leasehold rights in MIDC land during financial year 2021-22. The demand includes GST amount of Rs 44,33,324, interest of Rs 35,55,528, and penalty of Rs 4,43,332. The company believes the demand is not payable and is consulting tax advisers and legal counsel to respond by the due date of October 30, 2025. The company expects no final liability based on a high court judgement but acknowledges the exact quantum remains uncertain. The company is exploring legal options and will evaluate potential impact on financial statements.

Trans Freight Containers Re-appoints Ms. Runnu Mahadev Polley as Independent Director for Five-Year Term

Trans Freight Containers Ltd. Board of Directors re-appointed Ms. Runnu Mahadev Polley as Non-Executive, Women Independent Director for a five-year term from August 13, 2026 to August 12, 2031. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. Ms. Polley holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce and has extensive experience in Capital Market and Accounting. She confirmed meeting independence criteria under the Companies Act, 2013 and has not been debarred from holding directorship. The Board also approved the revised notice for the 51st Annual General Meeting and the revised Directors Report for the year ended March 31, 2025.
