1987

  • The company was incorporated on 23rd November 1987 at Calcutta with the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal.

1988

  • The company obtained the Certificate of Commencement of Business on 10.02.1988.

1990

  • The Registered Office was shifted to New Delhi.

1991

  • The cost of the project was appraised by Industrial Finance Corporation of India in December 1991.

1992

  • The company made a public issue of equity shares and 15% Partly Convertible Debentures.
  • A fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued by the Registrar of Companies, Delhi & Haryana on 12.02.1992.
  • The company's name was changed from THAPAR WATERBASE LIMITED to THE WATER BASE LIMITED.

1993

  • The company commenced trial production in January 1993.
  • The hatchery commenced commercial production on 01.07.1993.
  • The process plant commenced commercial production on 01.09.1993.
  • The feed plant commenced commercial production on 01.12.1993.
  • The company set up a 100% integrated aquaculture export oriented unit consisting of hatchery, farm, feed mill and process plant.

1994

  • The farm commenced commercial production on 01.01.1994.
  • The company's four operating units began functioning together from 1st January 1994.

2003

  • Waterbase Ltd signed a pact with INVE of Belgium to tap R&D expertise of INVE.

2008

  • Waterbase Ltd appointed Lt Gen Deepak Summanwar as Additional Director of the Company with effect from January 28, 2008.

2011

  • The Board considered the issue of shares in proportion of one equity share for every two equity shares held at a face value of Rs 10/- each.

2013

  • Waterbase Ltd proposed a rights issue of the Company.
  • Waterbase announced rights in the ratio of 1:2.

2014

  • The Board of Directors of the Company appointed Mr Varun Aditya Thapar as Additional Director of the Board.

2015

  • The Waterbase Ltd launched 'Bay White Enriched', a new generation shrimp feed formulated with essential nutrients required for producing healthy shrimps.

2016

  • The Waterbase Ltd won the Best Practices award from Frost & Sullivan.

2019

  • The Waterbase Limited was adjudged as the winner of SME Empowering India Awards 2019 in the Mid-size corporate segment under the category Food, Agro and Horticulture category.
