1974
- The company was incorporated on 2nd May at Mumbai.
- The company started manufacturing graphite electrodes and anodes.
1977
- 4,70,000 shares were taken up by promoters, directors, etc.
- 2,50,000 shares were allotted to Graphite India, Ltd.
- 10,80,000 shares were offered to the public at par.
1983
- 25,000 preference shares were issued.
1984
- 18,00,000 rights equity shares were issued at par.
1988
- The company entered into a technical-cum-financial collaboration with Graphite India Ltd.
1990
- 25,000 preference shares were issued.
1991
- Rs 25 of the face value of Rs 100 per preference share was redeemed.
1993
- The name of the company was changed from Carbon Corporation Ltd. to Carbon Everflow Ltd.
1994
- 550mm dia electrodes were launched and production of 600mm dia was being pursued.
- Graphite Vicarb India Ltd. was amalgamated with the company.
- Preference shares were redeemed.
- 11,96,050 equity shares were allotted.
1995
- Two modern energy efficient re-baking furnaces were installed and commissioned.
- 26,82,834 equity shares were allotted due to amalgamation.
- 14,39,860 shares were allotted at a premium of Rs 20 per share on conversion of warrants.
1996
- The Graphite electrode division launched 600 MM dia UHP electrodes.
- Two pitch impregnation systems of improved version were installed.
- 25,66,350 equity shares were issued to shareholders on a Rights basis.
1997

- Exim Bank and IDBI sanctioned Rs 360 million to Carbon Everflow.
2001
- The Board approved the scheme of merger.
- The Board approved the draft scheme of amalgamation of Graphite India Ltd and Carbon Investments Ltd with the company.
2002
- The Registered Office of the company was shifted from Maharashtra to West Bengal.
- Graphite India Ltd. and Carbon Investment Ltd. were amalgamated with the company.
- The name of the company was changed from Carbon Everflow Ltd. to Graphite India Ltd.
- Bindal Leasing acquired a 5.60 per cent stake in the company.
2004
- The Board of Directors appointed Mr. D J Balaji Rao as an additional director of the company.
- Life Insurance Corporation of India appointed Mr. B B Das as its nominee director.
2006
- The Company split its face value of shares from Rs 10 to Rs 2.
2008
- ICRA Ltd upgraded the rating of Non-Convertible Debenture Programme to LAA.
2009
- The Board of Directors appointed Mr. J D Curravala as an additional director of the Company.
2010
- The Company received trial orders for 750 mm diameter electrodes from two overseas customers.
- Graphite India Ltd issued Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds.
2011
- The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 3.50 per equity share of face value Rs. 2.
- Graphite India Ltd received the EEPC Star Performer Award 2010-2011.
- Graphite India Ltd received the Capexil Award for export achievement in respect to Graphite Electrodes and Fines 2010-2011.
2012
- The Karnataka State Appellate Authority granted a stay of the impugned orders of the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.
2013
- The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 3.50 per equity share of face value Rs. 2.
- Graphite India Ltd won the 12th Annual Greentech Safety Award 2013.
2014
- The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 3.5 per equity share of face value Rs. 2.
- Graphite India Ltd won the Award for Export Excellence for the year 2014.
