1980

  • Started providing technical know-how for 186-room Taj Sheba Hotel at Sanaa, Yemen.
  • Government of India approved JV investment equivalent to US $4 million.

1981

  • Took over Hotel Chandela at Khajuraho on leave and licence basis from 18 December.
  • Commissioned Jai Mahal Palace Hotel at Jaipur with 103 rooms.
