Kanco Tea Reports Quarterly Loss of ₹866 Lakhs in Standalone Results

Kanco Tea & Industries Limited reported a standalone net loss of ₹866 lakhs for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, compared to a profit of ₹211 lakhs in the previous quarter. Revenue from operations declined significantly to ₹360 lakhs from ₹1,306 lakhs in the prior quarter. On a consolidated basis, the company posted a net loss of ₹978 lakhs versus ₹223 lakhs profit in the previous quarter. The company's consolidated revenue from operations also dropped to ₹360 lakhs from ₹1,306 lakhs. Earnings per share turned negative at ₹(16.90) for standalone and ₹(19.09) for consolidated results. The company noted that tea business is seasonal in nature and current period figures cannot be considered indicative of full-year results. The auditors highlighted that no provision for income tax was made due to the seasonal nature of the business.
