Company History

1993

  • The Company was incorporated as Khandwala Securities Private Limited on February 9.
  • The Company was promoted by M/s. Jayantilal Khandwala & Sons and Mr. Samir S. Doshi.
  • The Company was accredited by SEBI as a category I Merchant Banker.

1994

  • The Equity shares of the Company were subdivided into equity shares of Rs 10 each.
  • The Company obtained membership of the National Stock Exchange and Over The Counter Exchange of India.
  • The Company has a wholly owned subsidiary, Khandwala Finances Limited, engaged in stock broking.

1995

  • The Company issued and allotted 13.5% Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares.
  • The Company became a deemed public limited company under the provisions of section 43(1A) of the Companies Act, 1956.

1997

  • CRISIL re-affirmed the credit rating of FA+ assigned to the FD programme of the Company.

1998

  • The Company reviewed its positioning to lock into high growth opportunities.
  • The Company accepted Inter-Corporate Deposits and repaid or renewed them on due dates.

1999

  • The Union Budget abolished stamp duty on secondary market debt transactions routed through a depository.
  • Interest rate swaps and forward rate agreements were introduced in the fixed income markets.
  • Khandwala Securities Ltd planned to set up an Asset Management Company.
  • The company redeemed 17.5% Secured Non-Convertible Debentures and 13.5% Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares.
  • The company issued 12.5% and 12% Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares.

2005

  • The Company appointed Mr. S. M. Parande as the new Chairman.

2012

  • The Company signed an agreement with Daulton Capital Corporation to raise funds for a gold mining project in Australia.

2016

  • Khandwala Securities Ltd adopted a new set of Articles of Association.
