1990	The company was incorporated on 26th December and was promoted by Motilal Kothari along with Pramod Kothari, Dr. H.C. Bhandari and N. Kothari. The company undertook to set up a plant for manufacture of 55,200 tpa of yeasts and its derivatives. Land admeasuring 8.75 acres was acquired at village Rajarampur, Dist. Bulandshahr, U.P.

Kothari Fermentation and Biochem Ltd reported a net loss of Rs 112.46 lakhs for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, compared to a net profit of Rs 109.78 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations declined to Rs 2,375.31 lakhs from Rs 2,635.52 lakhs year-on-year. The company's earnings per share turned negative at Rs (0.75) versus Rs 0.73 in the previous year. The board approved several key appointments including M/s Priyanka Saxena & Associates as secretarial auditors for five years and the re-appointment of Mr. Siddhant Kothari as whole-time director. Dr. Rajiv Agarwal resigned as Independent Director due to preoccupation, while Mr. Varun Kumar was appointed as Additional Non-Executive Independent Director.
