The Lakshmi Mills Company Reports Mixed Results with Revenue Decline and Significant Tax Adjustments

The Lakshmi Mills Company Limited reported revenue from operations of Rs 5,862.73 lakhs for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to Rs 7,254.78 lakhs in the previous year quarter. The company posted a profit after tax of Rs 252.45 lakhs for the current quarter versus Rs 114.09 lakhs in the same period last year. For the half-year period, revenue declined to Rs 11,369.76 lakhs from Rs 13,718.25 lakhs in the previous year, while the company reported a loss after tax of Rs 2,950.53 lakhs compared to a loss of Rs 14.62 lakhs in the previous year. The company operates in two business segments - Textiles and Rental Services. The Textiles segment reported a loss before interest and tax of Rs 64.27 lakhs for the current quarter, while Rental Services generated a profit of Rs 524.05 lakhs. The results include significant deferred tax adjustments of Rs 1,983.89 lakhs related to brought forward unabsorbed depreciation and adoption of new tax regime. The Board reconstituted the Audit Committee during their meeting held on November 10, 2025.
