The company operates in pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing segments, with the pharmaceutical segment showing a loss while chemical manufacturing remained profitable. Total expenses increased significantly, impacting overall profitability despite revenue growth.

Makers Laboratories Ltd reported mixed financial results for Q1 FY2026 ended June 30, 2025. Total income from operations increased 18.3% year-on-year to Rs. 3,500.10 lakhs from Rs. 2,959.17 lakhs. The company returned to profitability with net profit after tax of Rs. 128.61 lakhs compared to a loss of Rs. 70.39 lakhs in the same period last year. Net profit before tax rose significantly to Rs. 197.63 lakhs from Rs. 41.96 lakhs. Profit margins improved substantially, with net profit before tax margin reaching 5.6% versus 1.4% previously, and net profit after tax margin turning positive at 3.7% from negative 2.4%. Earnings per share was Rs. 0.74 compared to a loss per share of Rs. 1.67 in Q1 FY2025. However, on a standalone basis, the company still reported a loss before tax of Rs. 29.95 lakhs, though this was an improvement from the Rs. 123.54 lakhs loss in the previous year. Equity share capital remained unchanged at Rs. 590.04 lakhs.
