High Court Restrains Vishnu Kumar Sureka HUF from Selling Mauria Udyog Shares

Mauria Udyog Limited received a High Court of New Delhi order restraining Vishnu Kumar Sureka (HUF) and others from selling, alienating, transferring, or creating third-party rights regarding their shareholding in the company. The order stems from a petition filed by Navneet Kumar Sureka under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, alleging violations of a Family Settlement and Memorandum of Understanding. The petitioner claims that Vishnu Kumar Sureka HUF's shareholding in Mauria decreased from 1,00,61,500 equity shares to 79,19,036 shares, representing approximately 21.29% divestment of total HUF holdings. The court noted that such offloading resulted in significant share value decline and granted interim relief to preserve the subject matter of arbitration. The restraining order remains effective until the next hearing date.

Amul Clarifies No Price Change for Fresh Milk Despite GST Rate Cut

The GST Council approved removing the 5% tax on packaged milk, with new rates effective from September 22. However, Amul's Managing Director Jayen Mehta clarified that fresh pouch milk prices will remain unchanged as they already had zero percent GST. Only Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) milk prices will be reduced due to the GST cut from 5% to nil. Amul Gold full cream milk is currently priced at Rs 69 per litre and toned milk at Rs 57 per litre. The GST exemption was expected to reduce milk prices by approximately Rs 3 to 4 per litre, but this applies only to UHT milk products, not fresh milk pouches.

Mauria Udyog MD Faces FIR as Family Dispute Escalates, Unauthorized Share Sales Reported

Mauria Udyog Limited disclosed that an FIR has been registered against Managing Director Navneet Kumar Sureka by his father and fellow promoter Vishnu Kumar Sureka at Sector-58 Faridabad Police Station. The FIR includes charges under multiple sections of BNS 2023. Navneet Kumar Sureka denies all allegations, calling them false and fabricated, claiming he is the real victim in what appears to be a property dispute influenced by his younger brother. Additionally, the company reported that Vishnu Kumar Sureka has been selling equity shares held by Vishnu Kumar Sureka (HUF) in the open market over the past 10-15 days without prior intimation to the company or obtaining pre-clearance from the Compliance Officer.
