Company History

1979

  • The Company was incorporated on 10th September at Hyderabad.
  • The Company obtained a mining lease over 208.9 hectares of land at Mattapalli village in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh.

1982

  • 450 shares were subscribed for by the signatories to the Memorandum of Association.
  • 4,62,050 shares were taken up by K. Ramachandra Raju and his associates.
  • 2,77,500 shares were allotted to APIDC.
  • 11,10,000 shares were offered at par for public subscription.

1986

  • The Company applied to the Government of India for a letter of intent for the setting up of a project for the manufacture of Cement Boards.
  • Technical collaboration was established with Bison Werke Bahre & Graten GmbH & Co. K.G. West Germany.

1987

  • The Company received a letter of intent for expansion of cement capacity to 600 TPA.
  • The name of the company was changed to NCL Industries Ltd.
  • 1,50,000 shares were allotted to promoters at par in conversion of loans.

1988

  • Cement mill, coal mill and kiln feed sections were installed.
  • A closed circuit grinding system and Osepa classifiers were proposed for the raw mill and cement mill sections.
  • Extra reinforcement was proposed for the pre-heater structures.
  • Land for the factory and partial captive plantation activity was acquired and developed.

1989

  • Production declined due to plant shutdown for modernisation-cum-expansion project.
  • A diesel generator set was installed to meet expanded production requirements.
  • BIFR approved the merger of Klayman Porcelains Ltd. with the Company.

1990

  • The cement bonded wood particle boards project to manufacture Bison Panels was commissioned.
  • The Company executed a new project for manufacture of Bison Board and took over a sick unit engaged in tableware ceramic products.
  • 40,00,000 rights equity shares were offered at par for cash.

1991

  • The boards plant took additional time to stabilize operations due to technical snags.

1993

  • The cement boards plant was commissioned with the replacement of imported card plates.
  • The hotelware range was introduced on a regular scale.
  • 22,43,744 rights shares were issued and additional shares were allotted to retain oversubscription and to employees.

1994

  • 23,00,000 equity shares were allotted on conversion of loan.

1996

  • The company entered into an MOU to offload the ceramic division as part of a restructuring exercise.

1997

  • The Company promoted NCL Energy Ltd. to take up Mini Hydel Power Projects.

2003

  • Shri K Ravi was appointed as Director and Managing Director of the company.
  • Shri K Ramchandra Raju resigned as Managing Director and Director of the company.

2006

  • NCL Industries Ltd issued rights in the ratio of 4:5.

2008

  • Mr. Bidhan Chandra Debata was appointed as the Sr. General Manager & Company Secretary.
  • Mr. P Simhadri Reddy was appointed as an additional director of the Company.

2009

  • NCL Industries Ltd recommended a dividend on equity shares at 25%.

2010

  • NCL Industries Ltd recommended a dividend on equity shares at 10%.

2011

  • NCL Industries Ltd recommended a dividend on equity shares at 15%.
  • The company's 2nd Ready Mix Concrete Unit was set up at Hyderabad and was ready for commercial operations.

2012

  • The company was selected for the award of Excellence in Worker’s Welfare for the year 2010-11.

2013

  • NCL Industries Ltd recommended a dividend on equity shares at 10%.

2015

  • NCL Industries Ltd relocated its Registered Office to a new building located at Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

2016

  • NCL Industries Limited was awarded India's Second Fastest Growing Cement Company in the Small Category for 2016 by Indian Cement.

2017

  • NCL Industries received the tv5 Business Leadership Award - 2017 under the Manufacture of the Year category.

2021

  • NCL INDUSTRIES LIMITED won India's Fastest Growing Cement Company Award in Small Category at the 4th Indian Cement Review Awards 2021.
  • NCL Industries Ltd MD K Ravi received the Life Time Achievement Award 2021.
