PBA Infrastructure Limited reported a net loss of Rs 34.86 lakhs for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 18.54 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations declined to Rs 686.49 lakhs from Rs 1,244.88 lakhs year-over-year. The company faces significant financial challenges with Rs 286.47 crores in overdue debt to consortium bankers after settling Rs 28.68 crores through one-time settlement schemes. The company is classified as a Non-Performing Asset by banks and has not provided interest payments since January 2018. Total outstanding debt including interest stands at Rs 353.41 crores as of June 2025. The company has received stay orders from DRT court against lenders' notices for physical possession of secured assets. Additionally, the board approved the appointment of Mr. Suresh Kumar Sunderlal Bothra as Additional Executive Director for five years and JC Associates as Secretarial Auditor for five years, both subject to shareholder approval. The 51st Annual General Meeting is scheduled for September 27, 2025, via video conferencing.

Goldman Sachs Acquires Rs 200 Crore Stake in Authum Investment at 20% Discount

Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte purchased nearly 9 lakh shares in Authum Investment & Infrastructure for Rs 200 crore through a bulk deal at Rs 2,250 per share, representing a 20% discount to the previous day's closing price. Authum Investment shares closed at Rs 2,710, down 3.5% for the day. The midcap company has a market capitalization of Rs 46,028 crore and has delivered 163% returns over the past year and 44% year-to-date gains. The stock trades above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages but shows high volatility with a 1-year beta of 1.6. In its June quarter results, Authum reported a 14% decline in net profit to Rs 943 crore compared to Rs 1,097 crore in the same period last year, while revenue from operations fell 14% to Rs 1,215 crore. The company operates as a proprietary equity investments business with both investments and credit and alternative assets divisions.

Authum Investment Shares Recover After FIIs Purchase 3% Stake in Block Deal

Authum Investment and Infrastructure Ltd. shares are recovering after falling 18% following an Enforcement Directorate enquiry at the company's premises. The enquiry relates to Reliance Commercial Finance Ltd. and Reliance Home Finance Ltd., which Authum acquired in October 2022. The company stated it has submitted all relevant documentation and that developments will not affect ongoing operations or financial performance. Three large foreign institutional investors and one domestic mutual fund purchased 3% of the company's outstanding equity in a block deal. At the end of the June quarter, promoters held a 74.5% stake in the company. Shares are currently trading 10.6% lower at ₹2,510.8.
