Regency Ceramics Reports 601% Revenue Growth Despite Net Loss in Q1 FY2026

Regency Ceramics Limited reported revenue from operations of Rs. 672.04 lakhs for Q1 FY2026, representing a 601% increase from Rs. 95.86 lakhs in Q1 FY2025. Total income reached Rs. 855.18 lakhs compared to Rs. 128.65 lakhs in the previous year. Despite the revenue surge, the company posted a net loss of Rs. 196.01 lakhs, though this was an improvement from the Rs. 281.12 lakhs loss in Q1 FY2025. The ceramic tile manufacturer is rebuilding operations after a 2012 industrial incident that destroyed its factory. The company has entered an exclusive manufacturing arrangement for glazed vitrified tiles in Andhra Pradesh and is refurbishing its Yanam plant. Accumulated losses stand at Rs. 8,849.59 lakhs. The company received an income tax refund of Rs. 315.91 lakhs during the quarter and Rs. 15.14 crores from an insurance claim. The independent auditor issued a qualified conclusion highlighting concerns about unaccounted losses from the 2012 incident, non-provision of employee benefits, and lack of balance confirmations from debtors and creditors.
