Seya Industries Officials Receive Interim Relief from Securities Appellate Tribunal Against SEBI Order

The Securities Appellate Tribunal has passed an interim order directing SEBI not to take action until the next hearing scheduled for September 8, 2025. This follows an appeal filed by four company officials - Mr. Ashok Ghanshyamdas Rajani, Mr. Asit Kumar Bhowmik, Mr. Sivaprasada Rao Buddi and Mr. Amrit Ashok Rajani - against a SEBI order dated May 2, 2025. The interim order was passed on August 20, 2025, providing temporary relief to the appellants while the matter remains pending before the tribunal.

Seya Industries Reports Loss of Rs 440.96 Lakhs in Q1 Results Under Insolvency Process

Seya Industries Ltd submitted audited standalone financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, showing a net loss of Rs 440.96 lakhs compared to a loss of Rs 62.23 lakhs in the previous quarter. Revenue from operations was nil during the quarter, while total expenses stood at Rs 658.52 lakhs. The company is currently under Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process initiated by the National Company Law Tribunal. The results were approved by an Interim Resolution Professional based on recommendations from an independent committee. The company has not provided for interest costs on certain loans amounting to Rs 708.78 lakhs for operating assets and Rs 1,981.06 lakhs for project assets due to ongoing disputes with lenders. Earnings per share was negative at Rs 1.66. The company operates in the specialty chemical intermediates segment.
