  • The name of the company was changed from Shri Ram Fabrics Limited to SRF Limited.

1993

  • The company set up a pilot plant for the production of Halons.

1995

  • SRF Overseas Limited was set up as a wholly owned subsidiary company in British Virgin Islands.
  • SRF Emirates Limited became a subsidiary and is engaged in trading activities in Middle East.

1996

  • SRF Overseas Limited set up a plant in Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone for converting tyre yarn into tyrecord fabric.
  • The company's wholly owned trading subsidiaries performed well.

1997

  • The company's plants at Manali and Viralimalai obtained ISO 9000 certification.
  • The Company's wholly owned subsidiary investment companies entered into an agreement with GE Capital.
  • SRF Overseas Ltd received ISO 9002 certification from KPMG Peat Marwick LLP.

2000

  • The company issued 28,43,600 equity shares to the employees under the ESPS.
  • NRB Bearings Ltd entered into an agreement with SRF Ltd to acquire its entire shareholding in Shriram Needle Bearing Industries Ltd.
  • The Company entered into an agreement with NRB Bearing Ltd for the sale of equity shares of Shriram Needle Bearing Ltd.
  • SRF Ltd embarked on a major acquisition plan to emerge as the third-largest player in the world in the tyre cord market.
  • The Company proposed to preferentially issue equity shares to E.I. DuPont de Nemours and E.I. DuPont India Ltd.

2001

  • All shareholders of SRF Ltd received one equity share of SRF Chemicals Ltd for every 10 shares of SRF held by them.
  • The board of directors approved a restructuring scheme that envisages the merger of Tyrecord Fabrics Ltd.

2002

  • Shri Arvind N. Lalbhai resigned from the Board of Directors.
  • Mr Bhiku Ram Jain and Mr J B Dadachanji ceased to be Directors.
  • Mr M V Subbiah, Mr Satish K Kaura, Mr Analjit Singh and Mr Vinayak Chatterji were appointed as additional Directors.

2003

  • Bharat Ram was appointed as the new CEO.
  • SRF Board approved the sale of SRF Infotel.
  • The shares of the Company were delisted from The Stock Exchange - Ahmedabad.

2004

  • The Madras Stock Exchange Ltd approved the delisting of equity shares of the Company.
  • SRF Polymers Ltd acquired 16,92,192 Equity Shares of SRF Limited.
  • Medusind Solutions acquired SRF Infotech for Rs 3 crore.
  • SRF was granted a patent by the US Patent & Trademark Office.
  • Mr Arun Bharat Ram was elevated to the position of Chairman and Managing Director.

2007

  • SRF is establishing a Rs 250-cr polyester yarn unit in Tamilnadu.
  • The Registered Office of the Company was shifted from New Delhi to Safdarjung Development Area, New Delhi.

2008

  • SRF acquired a Thai-based tyre cord company.
  • SRF appointed Karvy Computerschare Pvt. Ltd as Registrar and Share Transfer Agent.
  • SRF Ltd approved a proposal to acquire the Engineering Plastic business and Industrial Yarn business from SRF Polymers Ltd.

2009

2010

2011

2017

  • SRF board approves setting up of Rs 315 cr chloromethane plant.

2021

  • SRF Ltd. announces bonus share issue in the ratio of 4:1.

2022

  • SRF board approved projects for setting up of four new plants and capacity enhancement of an existing plant to produce various speciality chemicals at an estimated cost of Rs. 604 Crores.
  • SRF board approved the setting up of a dedicated facility to produce 200 MT per year of P16 specialty product at Dahej, India at an approximate cost of Rs 17.5 crore.
