SVAM Software Reports 11% Revenue Growth but 85% Profit Decline in Q1 Results

SVAM Software Limited reported mixed quarterly results with revenue from operations rising 11% to Rs. 6.49 lakhs from Rs. 5.85 lakhs year-over-year. However, total income dropped to Rs. 9.99 lakhs from Rs. 15.07 lakhs due to other income declining significantly from Rs. 9.23 lakhs to Rs. 3.50 lakhs. Profit before tax fell sharply to Rs. 1.04 lakhs from Rs. 7.10 lakhs in the same quarter last year. The company, which operates in trading of shares and securities, managed cost reductions including employee benefit expenses decreasing to Rs. 0.48 lakhs from Rs. 2.40 lakhs and eliminating finance costs entirely. Basic and diluted earnings per share stood at Rs. 0.01 for the quarter.
