Company History

1976

  • VXL Instruments started as a partnership firm promoted by Mr. A.V. Kasargod, Mr. M.V. Nagaraj and Mr. J.R. Mundkur.

1981

  • Mr. Kumar Shyam joined as a partner.

1982

  • Mr. M.V. Shetty joined as a partner.

1983

  • VXL Instruments introduced VM-15A, a computer terminal based on ISO standard.

1986

  • The Company was initially a partnership firm started in 1976 and was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 28th February.

1993

  • The Company became a Public Limited Company on 24th June.
  • The Company obtained a revised Certificate of Incorporation on 2nd November.

1994

  • The Company issued bonus shares in the ratio of 3 for every 5 shares held.
  • The Company came out with its maiden Public Issue of equity shares.
  • The scheme of amalgamation of Electronic Weighing and Level Controls Private Limited was approved.

1995

  • The Company planned to set up a 100% export unit under the EHTP scheme.
  • The Company tied up with Stallion Technologies of Australia for product distribution.
  • The Company introduced in-house training programmes for its managers.

1996

  • The Company introduced a LAN station in monochrome and colour versions.

1997

  • The Company received an award from the Export Promotion Council for Outstanding Export.
  • The Company received ISO 9000 certification for its export factory.
  • VXL Instruments launched Winlinx, a thin network computing client.

1998

  • The Company worked on developing a family of Winlinx WINDOWS NT terminals.

1999

  • The Company started a Business Applications Software Division.
  • Xlnet Software Systems Ltd, a subsidiary, posted a profit for the first time.
  • The Company developed new products like Xica and Xica 70.

2000

  • A fire accident occurred in the company's 100% export factory at Bangalore.
  • VXL Instruments launched Saral Kot, a solution for hotels and restaurants.
  • The Company signed a MoU with Optima Computer Technology Australia for a joint venture.
  • VXL Instruments entered into a joint venture agreement with Optima Computer Technology.

2002

  • Mr. Dipak Rao was appointed as Director and Chairman of the Company.
  • Mr. J R Mundkar rejoined the Board as Director.
  • Mrs. Laxmi J Mundkar ceased to be Director of the Company.

2004

  • VXL Instruments launched Itona TC, a thin client device for corporate networks.
  • Mr. M.V. Nagaraj was appointed as Managing Director.

2008

  • The Company designated an email id for grievance redressal division/compliance officer.

2015

  • The Company shifted its registered office from Karnataka to Maharashtra, Mumbai.

2016

  • The Company changed the state of the registered office from Karnataka to Maharashtra.
