Company History

1984

  • The company was incorporated in the name of Bhansali Steels Limited.
  • The company obtained the certificate of commencement of business.

1986

  • The company changed its name to Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd.

2000

  • The Company entered into a Sale Agreement and a Conducting Agreement with Polychem Ltd. for its ABS/SAN Unit at Vadodara.

2003

  • The members approved the increase of Authorized Share Capital of the Company from 170 million to 200 million.
  • The members approved the issue of 36,50,000 Equity Shares of Rs 10/- each for cash at a premium of Rs 90/- per share.

2004

  • The Company declared suspension of all manufacturing activities at its Vadodara factory.
  • Commercial production started at Company's Abu Road Unit.
  • Rationalised plant configuration and achieved 48 KTPA aggregate ABS manufacturing capacity.
  • Initially taken over Greaves Ltd.'s RPRL Unit at Abu Road under Licence and subsequently purchased it.

2006

  • Mr. Jayesh B. Bhansali was appointed as an Additional Director and Whole Time Director of the Company.

2009

  • Ms. Neha Lahoty was appointed as Company Secretary of the Company.

2011

  • Mr. Hasmukh Thakkar was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

2012

  • Mr. B. M. Bhansali, Managing Director of the Company, was awarded 'Udyog Rattan Award' and the Company was awarded 'Excellence Award'.

2013

  • Signed Joint Venture Agreement with Nippon A&L Inc., Japan.

2014

  • Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd recommended Final Dividend @ 10%.

2017

  • Announced expansion programme from 100 KTPA to 137 KTPA to be completed by 31 March, 2019.

2018

  • Attained the position of Numero Uno ABS manufacturer in India.
  • Successfully implemented the capacity expansion plan from 80 KTPA to 100 KTPA at its Abu Road plant.
  • Successfully commissioned expansion of compounding capacity from 100 KTPA to 137 KTPA at Abu Road plant.

2019

  • Established 'State-of-the-Art' Research and Development Centre ('R&D Centre') at Abu Road.

2021

  • The Board of Directors of the Company approved the Brown Field ABS Expansion Project at Company's existing plants for enhancing overall ABS production capacity to 200,000 TPA with approx. Capex of Rs.500 Crore.

2023

  • The Company has issued Bonus Shares in the Ratio of 1:2.

2024

  • The Company has executed Contract with Toyo Engineering India Private Limited for Front End Engineering Design and CAPEX Cost Estimation for Brown Field ABS Expansion Project.
