1994

  • The Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company in the name and style of Chokhani Securities Private Limited.
  • The Company became a Public Limited Company under Section 44 of the Companies Act, 1956 with effect from 4th July.

1995

  • The Company received approval in principle from SEBI as Category I Merchant Banker.
  • The Public Issue of the Company for 10,00,000 equity shares was over-subscribed by 7.78 times.

1997

  • Company's performance was affected by unfavourable business climate and continuous fall in share prices, but the company minimised losses with skillful management of cash flows.

1998

  • The company initiated steps to induct a strategic partner.
  • The company proposed to change its name to CSL INFOTECH LIMITED or any other suitable available name.
  • The company undertook computer software and infotech activities.

2000

  • The Company offered/issued/allotted up to 20,00,000 equity shares at a price not less than Rs 10/- per share.

2007

  • Registered Office of the Company has been shifted from 9/16D, Fort Mansion, British Hotel Lane, Fort, Mumbai to 5A, Maker Bhavan No.2, Sir Vithaldas Thackersey Marg, New Marine Lines, Mumbai.

2018

  • Company name has changed to Ugro Capital Ltd. from Chokhani Securities Ltd.

2021

  • Ugro Capital signs co-lending agreement with Central Bank of India.
  • Ugro Capital launched ‘Pratham’, a INR 1,000 Cr MSME Co-lending Program in partnership with Bank of Baroda.
  • Ugro Capital partners with SBM Bank India to launch ‘GRO Smart Business’ credit card for MSMEs.

2024

  • The Company has issued Bonus Shares in the Ratio of 1:4.
